Leavitt Family and Cosmetic Dentistry
To our highly valued patients: Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example: • Our office will communicate with you beforehand via text, email or phone call to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. If you answer yes to any of the screening questions we ask you to contact us for clarification about whether or not you should come to your appointment. If you are at risk or are not feeling well, please contact us ahead of time for screening questions. Our goal is to keep our office safe for healthy patients and team members. • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, for the time being since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We ask you to call our office upon arrival for your appointment and PLEASE REMAIN WAITING IN YOUR CAR. The office will call you when we are ready for you to be seen so you do not have to wait in the reception area. Only scheduled patients should come inside for their appointment. Please contact us with questions regarding a child or someone who may need assistance from a non scheduled patient. • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. We will ask for your help with this upon entering to and exiting from your appointment • You will notice that for some procedures we will be wearing different masks, face shields and gowns, especially for those procedures that generate sprays and aerosols. We will also have air purifiers in our treatment areas with HEPA filters. We will be wearing our masks all day and will not be taking them off for conversations with our patients like we normally do. We apologize that this feels different, but these changes are made for your protection.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 208-233-6900 or visit our website

Many people feel anxious before and during dental procedures. It’s okay to feel nervous or even fearful when anticipating an appointment. We understand that our patients aren’t all the same, and we have great news: you have options! You can experience dental treatment in a comfortable, customized approach with several different methods of sedation.
When it’s time to replace missing teeth, whether it’s one or a full set, several options might be available to you. Dental implants often give you the best opportunity to enjoy normal chewing and a full smile, although all therapeutic possibilities deserve consideration.
