A badly broken tooth can lead to a number of oral health issues if it is not properly treated. One of the best methods used to treat badly broken teeth is to use dental veneers, crowns, or dental implants. Dental implants are normally the last option patients choose to take as the goal is to save your tooth! Same-day dental crowns have made repairing a damaged tooth easier, and convenient for patients. Our Pocatello dental patients can finally enjoy a healthy, natural looking tooth, without the need for a temporary crown and multiple visits!
What is CEREC?
CEREC is a machine used to create porcelain crowns. Our in-office machine is designed to create a crown while you are in the office, allowing you to have a permanent crown in just a few hours. Previously a dental crown required multiple visits as you needed a temporary crown while the permanent crown was created in an off-site laboratory. We recommend using CEREC same-day crowns as they do provide a more aesthetic result that blends perfectly with the rest of your smile.
Fewer Appointments
One of the greatest benefits of same-day crowns is the fact that you don’t need to keep missing work or taking time out of your day-to-day life to visit the dentist for a temporary crown, and then a permanent one a couple weeks later. We know it can be a hassle to have multiple dental visits, which is why we decided to invest in the CEREC machine. We love it, and our patients love it!
Natural Looking
Who doesn’t love a beautiful smile? We love the CEREC crowns because they do look natural. Since we sculpt them right from a digital rendering of your tooth, the crown truly looks like the tooth that needed to be removed. We want the crown to blend in perfectly, which is great to do in office as we can reference the color of the rest of your teeth and match this new tooth. Blending the color of a smile is not a difficult process thanks to the CEREC machine.
Non-invasive
CEREC in-office dental crowns allow patients to have less discomfort compared to older methods of creating and cementing dental crowns in place. Patients will only need to have one day of anesthesia, cement, and other discomforts that come with drilling and cementing a tooth into place.
How does it Work?
The CEREC machine takes a digital image of the tooth using a special camera. The image allows Dr. Leavitt to then go on and create a crown by guiding the machine through the design image. What this means is you no longer need to have molds made for your teeth! Once the crown is done, we can cement it into place, and you are on your way.
Why We Love same-day Dental Crowns
We want your smile to be something you enjoy sharing. When you have crowns that are not sized properly, the color is off, or they crack, it’s never a fun moment for anyone! Dental crowns are not cheap, so we work hard to get it right the first time. Our CEREC crowns are designed to last, and they are stronger than several other dental crown materials on the market today. Patients love same-day crowns, and so do we! Call us today to schedule your consultation for a same-day crown and be on your way to a smile you are once again proud to share.
