Alameda and the Suburbs of Pocatello Idaho
Pocatello, Idaho is a large Metropolitan area of Bannock County,made up of four adjacent suburbs located in a large valley in the southeastern part of the state. Furthest suburb to Pocatello is the small town of Tyhee, situated 9 miles due North. The city of Alameda boundaries north 4 miles of Pocatello which centers between both Pocatello and the town Chubbuck. Chubbuck is nearby just 3 miles south of Tyhee. Pocatello, given the title “Gateway to the Northwest” is proud to be the chief city for Idaho State University ISU about 3 miles on the northeast corner from downtown Pocatello.

Encircled by mountain peaks, Pocatello is not far from its historical landmarks such as Portneuf Gap, Fort Hall reservation. Venture 19 miles south by way of Interstate 15 you will come to Indian Rock State Park.
